Death and Dying Workshop
This workshop is designed to help people explore the deeper dimensions of the physical, emotional and spiritual processes of the dying event. Participants begin to understand and learn how to deal with their personal fears and feelings about their own death and explore their experiences of the death of others. The workshop examines the current societal and medical attitudes and norms surrounding the dying process. Participants learn about the stages of grief and loss as well as the stages of recovery, the impact of sudden death or death after long term illness.
The workshop enables participants to reach into the deeper levels of their own consciousness and gain an understanding of their personal experiences with the use of poetry, drawings or other nonverbal means. The workshop explores various religious and cultural views of death and after-death states including Near Death Experiences, concepts of reincarnation and other religious concepts of after life existence.
Participants are guided through a process of "preparing for death", planning their own funeral and imagining how the life of others will be without them.
